Day 232 - Jel

Hmm... maybe stumbled onto something of a quick and easy money maker.

I got a message this morning that Bel had been doing some Level 3 agent missions in Sinq region and got a few R&D skill books after ransacking an Informant's mobile home. So after picking them up from Escrow at Jel VIII Moon 20, and a quick market check, I noticed that quite a few changed hands at around 100k - 300k ISK.

Anyway, after a little scouting around, I headed back to base, with the books, and decided to put them straight up for sale, as I have all my R&D skills that I need. To my delight, it seems that Verge Vendor has a difficulty in supplying the demand for R&D skill books as they were currently selling at 650k - 1mil ISK!

Do you know how many skill books you can fit in a shuttle..!?!

Day 227 - Rens

To my dismay, during my time away, it seemed that the Corp I was a member of, BLTC, had fallen on rough times, and had basically ceased to exist. It appears that we had become entangled within a war in an effort to help one of our allies.

On my return, where once, the Corp channel was always full of people chatting, organising, complaining or trading, I found it totally empty. Offices and hangars had been closed down and stock impounded, funds emptied, ore and minerals evaporated into space, and from what I could gather from internal mail, the CEO had finalised things with his own suicide. In my inbox, and posted on the morning of the CEO's death, I'd received a mail and final paycheck;

"When you receive this, I will be dead.
BLTC no longer exists.
Thankyou for your contribution.
This is your severence pay.
Slaach..."
50mil ISK and anything I could get my hands on. After checking through the Assets register and activity logs, no one had been active for 14 days, and the bulk of stock that remained had been impounded on Rens. After a few hours thought and planning, I headed over to the Chief Administrator's Office and paid a months rent to release the office and stock. I took half of everything. It wasn't about the money, I'd always been more wealthy than the Corp; I was born a Trader, what would you have done, let it rot..?

Day 227 - Tourier

After being planet side for the past 2 cycles, taking care of my mother, I return to Tourier via shuttle. Putting all family concerns behind me now, it was time to get back to business. In fact I think I almost ran from the shuttle dock to my hangar. As the hangar door popped, stale air greeted me along with a few surprises. It seemed Bel had been busy and had left me a present.

I expected to see my Itty, a shuttle and my stock of package Burst's that - my agent here - is so fond of giving me, along side my stock of ores, minerals, modules and trade goods. But to my amazement an active Vexor, another 3 Ittys, and a run-about Navitas were filling up the Hangar. A note pinned to the sensor boom of the Nav read;

"Ane... kept an eye on your finances while you were grounded.
Hope you don't mind. Enjoy the Vex. I've fitted it out for you.
I persuaded a guy in Shapisin that he didn't require it any more.
Check you sell orders, you need to replenish them.
I'll have some 'special' market reports next week, so practice in the Vex.
You never know when it may come in useful.
Bel..."
Bemused and smiling, I headed into my hangar office to check my console. The flood of green on my Transaction account seemed to go on for pages... well in fact it did. Everything had sold. Silicon, Water, Consumer goods, Miniature Electronics, Robots, Roes... everything! The down side meant that there was a lot of work to do to get the trade channels up and running again, but with the cryptic message from Bel about the market reports next week, and the shiny new Vex in the hangar I'm guessing it wasn't going to be that painful to get up and running again.
